Rotorua Lakes Council wants to make this year's Matariki celebrations in Rotorua the best so far by promoting events around the region.
The council wants to hear from anyone organising a free community event to mark the occasion so it can promote it alongside other events taking place in thedistrict.
There are already fantastic events on offer including the Matariki All Stars Parade on June 16, the Matariki Star Search showcasing some of the fantastic talent around Rotorua, plus crafts, workshops, talks, exhibitions and more.
If your event is free, celebrates an aspect of Matariki and falls between June 8-30 the council would like to support you.
A range of marketing material is being produced to publicise everything that's happening around Rotorua for Matariki.

The deadline for event submissions is 5pm this Friday.
The promotion will be at no cost to event organisers and will include: An event listing in the Matariki booklet and on the council's website Combined social media promotion Combined advertising Promotion at the Night Market on June 8 and 15
To be included you will need to send details about your event including The name of your free event Where and when it will be held 30-40 words describing your event Contact details for your event The names and/or logos for any sponsors or organisations that need to be recognised An electronic image for your event if you have one
