People planning to attend Rotorua's Anzac Day Civic Memorial Service can travel to and from the service free on Rotorua's Cityride bus network.

The entire Cityride network will be free to ride this Saturday morning until 12pm.

The Anzac Day Civic Memorial Service is being held at the Rotorua Energy Events Centre at 9.30am.

The Bay of Plenty Regional Council will also provide a free shuttle so people can travel between the central city bus terminus and the service. The shuttle will run every 20 minutes from 7.40am until 12pm, on a loop incorporating Pukuatua St, the Lakefront and the Energy Events Centre.

Lyall Thurston, Bay of Plenty Regional Councillor and chairman of the Public Transport Subcommittee, said the regional council was pleased to be offering the free buses and the shuttle service, recognising the significance of the WWI commemorative events.
