Eight people have been injured in a five-car crash near Whakatāne.
NZ Police have confirmed all injuries are minor.
A spokeswoman said the crash on State Highway 30, near Shaw Rd and Huna Rd, was reported at 4.30pm.
Tow trucks were called to the scene and it is now clear.
The west-bound lane was blocked for a short time.
