The "leased" signs are going up at two suburban shopping centres as they reach capacity with new shops expected to open within the next few months.

The two final spots at the Redwood Centre on Te Ngae Rd have been leased.

The Coffee Club will be going into the big corner site at the centre, but developer Tony Bradley said it was too early to reveal what was going into the other site, however it was likely to open in the next couple of months.

He said he had worked hard to make sure the last spots were leased to businesses that would be "good for the complex".

He said the addition of Urbo Homes and Rabobank had worked well for the centre.

Fit-out for the stores at the other complex, on the corner of Old Quarry and Fairy Springs Rds, was being carried out now.

The first store, Burger Fuel, opened at the end of March and since then a new medical centre had opened, as well as a Four Square.

Mr Bradley said he expected more stores to open in the coming weeks, including Te Arawa Fisheries and Best Sushi.

The Fairy Springs complex took three months to complete, after resource consent was granted in mid-2013. It is about a third of the size of the Redwood Centre and has 10 shops as well as parking for 100 vehicles.

"The tenants are all happy, everyone's happy."

Mr Bradley said he was concentrating on putting the "finishing touches" on the two projects.
