"I haven't sorted anything so something like this is great," she said.
"Everything you would need is here and you get to take your time and look at what services everyone has on offer."
She said it was also good being able to talk to service providers and find out about what they recommended.
"They also listen to your ideas and you can bounce things off one another," she said.
"Another bonus is that there is no obligation. You get to go home and think about everything and then you have their brochures and phone numbers if you want to get in touch."
The expo was also exciting for Hope's Bridal Boutique owner Michelle Hope. This was the first expo she had taken part in and said it was a great way to get her business known.
"I work from home so this is a really good way to get out and get people to know who I am.
"It is also good meeting everyone else who is in the industry."
She was pleased with the turnout and said she would consider taking part in the expo in the future.
The expo included various businesses from photographers, to audio visual companies and entertainers and florists.
Offroad NZ and Polynesian Spa also had stands and representatives talked to people about less traditional wedding plans.
In addition to the displays at the expo there was live entertainment.
This included the Blue Baths Emerge Entertainment group, which performed a mock wedding at various times during the afternoon.
