It's all about me. Yes, Rotorua ladies will sigh with delight when they enter this weekend's Women's Lifestyle Expo. Their special day has come back to the city just in time for Christmas.

Cast away your stress and multi-tasking duties, grab your friends, sisters, mothers and daughters and enjoy a space designed just for your buying, browsing and learning pleasure.

Many women made the expo all about bonding with each other, according to event director, Renee Murray.

"We have noticed a trend over the last couple of years where several generations are coming to spend the day together. We get nanas with their daughters and granddaughters. It's really quite sweet to watch and we enjoy being part of their day," she said.

Because of the huge range of stalls, there is something for different generations whether it is crafts, baby products, fitness equipment or the range of specialty foods and drink.

Don't go past the Heart Foundation's blood pressure checks, said Ms Murray.

This is the opportunity to have a quick check to make sure everything is tickety-boo.

"Women don't take enough care of themselves. We are so busy running around for work and after children, this is the chance to get checked. You can't pour from an empty cup," she said.

The show always features a good range of health products including fitness and gym equipment, massage, skin care, chiropractic information, natural health products and much more.

As always, foodies have a range of temptations to tuck into including spice blends, olive oils, organic teas, gourmet sweet treats, organic and gluten-free breads, nuts, high-protein muesli, delicious chutneys, vinaigrettes, oils and sauces.

The artisan crafts area had been boosted this year, as it was popular with the crowds last year, said Ms Murray.

Bursting with art, candles, soaps, art, bath bombs, hand-crafted jewellery, it will be the perfect place to find Christmas gifts - or even better, something for yourself!
