Exhibitors are rolling up their sleeves in anticipation for this year's three-day Rotorua Home Show, now sponsored by OneRoof.

More than 120 companies will be involved at this year's event at the Energy Events Centre from July 13 to 15.

Go with the Grain owner Vic Gordon will be one of those exhibiting for the first time.

He makes chopping boards out of his workshop on Bidois Rd, offers a knife and tool sharpening service, and sells mineral oil wood conditioner.

Gordon said he approached the event after he saw it on Facebook.

"This is the first event [besides the Sunday Farmers Market] that we have participated in. We will be using this as a test case and if successful will take part in other events."

He said the Home Show provided an opportunity to spread awareness of his products and services and the benefits of them.

"This business became a company last year and came about after starting as an interest and going from there," he said.

Gordon said the show would be a chance for Rotorua residents to see what was available "in the way of technology and current trends".

"It provides a great opportunity for the exchanging of ideas and information and the asking of questions."

Exhibitors from across the country will be included, covering renovating, DIY, building, remodelling, landscaping and lifestyle needs.

Visitors will also be able to sample gourmet food and beverages in the Taste Zone.
