Award-winning Rotorua realtor Paul Sanford has been named second best in his field among Harcourts real estate agents in New Zealand.
Mr Sanford, who was recently named the top commercial sales consultant in Harcourts' central region, was named number two commercial sales consultant in Harcourts New Zealand at its national awards
dinner in Christchurch this week.
Invercargill's David McKillop was number one for the second year. "I would be feeling better if I was number one but it's something to aim for," Mr Sanford said. "David has been in the game a long time but you can always learn from someone better than you. He'll be hard to topple but it doesn't mean I can't do it."
Mr Sanford has been a consistent top performer since he joined New Zealand's largest real estate group in 2006 as a business broker and commercial sales and leasing specialist.
Before real estate Mr Sanford was involved in a range of businesses for 25 years and he attributed his success as a real estate professional to many factors, including the knowledge and experience he gained throughout his working life in a range of industries.
He said hard work, going the extra mile for his clients and the excellent support he received from staff members Angela Payne and Diane Klomp were also keys to his success.
The awards were judged on sales volume and total revenue.
Head of real estate operations for Harcourts Australasia, Bryan Thomson, said Mr Sanford's awards were a credit to him and reflected the excellent network he had established and the track record of success he had in the Bay of Plenty.
