Rotorua's Julia Edward and rowing partner Sophie MacKenzie are through to the A final in the women's lightweight double scull event at the World Rowing Championships in Amsterdam.
The new pairing of Edward and MacKenzie finished second in their semifinal overnight on Thursday to qualify for the A final. Theyfinished in a time of 7min 6.66sec.
The final will be held at 12.18am tomorrow. The pairing have qualified fifth fastest for the A final.
Edward and Lucy Strack placed fifth at the 2013 World Rowing Championships.
