Rotorua is set to host three matches during the Rugby World Cup and we should be excited about it.
Preparations are well under way as the first Cup game at the Rotorua International Stadium is on Saturday, when Fiji kick off their campaign against Namibia.
Hundreds of staff and volunteers willbe on hand to make sure match days run smoothly.
We'll have 100 portaloos, 70 volunteers, 200 security staff, 15 St John staff, 27 television cameras, 11 food outlets, seven drink outlets and 180 food and beverage staff coming in for the games.
But it's the items to keep hunger and thirst at bay that are of more interest. We're told 80,000 units of beer are to be brought in, as well as 2000kg chips, 150kg of pork loin, 22,000 hot dogs and 100kg of whitebait.
The stadium will play host to three matches during the Rugby World Cup.
With only days to go before Rotorua's Rugby World Cup experience kicks off, we are about to see the fruits of the hard work put in by those behind the scenes to make sure the event runs smoothly.
Let's celebrate the Rugby World Cup, welcome visitors into our city and support our games.
