Yesterday was both a time of sadness for the end of a much-loved product and a time of excitement as we refined plans to launch our new look.
On Monday we will bring you a special supplement that details the history of the Rotorua Daily Post - from its early beginnings as the Hot Lakes Chronicle and Wonderland Gazette in 1885 to when it became the Rotorua Morning Post in the 1930s, the Rotorua Post in 1947 and The Daily Post in 1960.
The supplement, titled Through the Years, will highlight how we have covered the news in Rotorua over the decades, detailing the coverage of many of the city's highlights and lowlights - including Sir Howard Morrison's life and death, the Bore Wars, the Rotorua Marathon, Lakeside concerts and Anzac Day ceremonies.
We are sure our readers will find this an enjoyable trip down memory lane and will be a keepsake for years to come detailing news in our city.
So with all these changes, what can you expect come Monday? Well, more of the same, only packaged a bit differently and with some additional features and improvements to the content.
