Haven't we had a pretty awesome few days in Rotorua?

Not only have we had amazing, warm weather, we've had a weekend filled with activities and events for the whole family to enjoy. The long weekend in the city has no doubt been an enjoyable one for many.

We've had plenty to do and plenty to see throughout the whole weekend.

Starting on Friday with a day at the races at Arawa Park as well as the city's first Okere Falls Festival - a three-day music festival featuring Tim Finn, Maisey Rika and loads more. We also had plenty of stock car action on the Friday and Saturday. Just three of the events people of all ages could enjoy.

But of course that wasn't all we had. There were at least three different markets happening around Rotorua on Saturday as well as the 104th Annual Rotorua Agricultural and Pastoral Show at Western Rd on Saturday and Sunday. We also had Rhythm Rotorua on Sunday - eight hours of music, loads of food, drinks and sun at Rave.

But we've had more than just fun events - this weather we've had this weekend has been pretty amazing right? No doubt it has prompted many people in the city - myself included - to enjoy a walk, run or mountainbike ride in the forest, overall enjoying the outdoors and flocking to the city's stunning lakes. I noticed plenty of plenty of social networking action from Rotorua people sharing their plans to head to the lakes or exercise - making me a little jealous at the same time.

We should feel lucky to live in a city packed with action, beautiful lakes and an awesome forest.

But it's not the end of a busy Rotorua. I'm sure we can expect an even bigger weekend this weekend as the two-day reggae music festival Raggamuffin gets underway on Friday and Saturday. Let's hope the weather turns out for us again this weekend.
