Driver flees police, abandons car in Rotorua

Save A driver has fled police before abandoning their car.
A police spokeswoman said police attempted to stop a vehicle of interest in Ōhinemutu just before 9pm yesterday.
The vehicle failed to stop and left the area at speed, she said.
Police lost sight of the vehicle but later found it
abandoned on Tutanekai St in Rotorua.
Police are continuing to make inquiries to establish the identity of the driver.
