Motorists can expect delays on State Highway 36 this week.
The New Zealand Transport Agency said re-sealing work would be taking place today between Roy Rd and Steward Rd with traffic control in place.
Loose chip and 50km/h speed restricitons will also be in place for two to three days
after to protect the new seal.
NZTA said motorists should drive with care and allow extra time for their journey.
