It was a mixed day away from home for Rotorua teams in the Baywide Premier.

Rotoiti celebrated a defiant 54-17 win over struggling Whakatane Marist at Rugby Park while Whakarewarewa were left disappointed after a close 27-25 defeat against Paroa at Lawson Park.

Meanwhile in Baywide Division 1, Ngongotaha won the local battle against rivals Waikite on home turf as they ran out 14-10 winners at the Ngongotaha Domain today.

Kahukura crushed Katikati 72 - 7 at Kuirau Park and Marist St Michael's beat Rangiuru 28-17 at Marist Park.
