Eastern Pirates bowler Johnny Wiringi (pictured) laments a close call during his side's win over Central CC at Boord Park on Saturday.
Pirates won the game after batting first and scoring 277 runs for six wickets and then restricting Central to 160 for nine.
Dale Wihapi top scored for thewinners with 82 while Wiringi chipped in with 58 and also took three wickets for 43. For Central, Alex Evans scored 39 and David Hunt 34.
In the other Rotorua Association Reserve Grade games Taupo Old Boys 1 lost to BOP Indians and Taupo Old Boys 2 lost to Lake Taupo. In T10 games, Need a Medic, 52, lost to Geyser Nice Garry 54, Stoney Creek Wetfoots, 68, lost to The Night Watchman, 91, and Not Even Stephen, 90, lost to Rotorua Boys High School, 91.
