Central player Aaron Bennett scored a big hundred on Saturday.

A superb innings by Central's Aaron Bennett has seen the Rotorua side beat South Waikato Senior Mens during the latest round of the Lakeland 40-Over competition.

Bennett hit a personal best 143 off 83 balls and included 10 fours and 11 sixes in the Boord Park knock on Saturday.

Central posted an imposing 342/5 off their allotted overs with Bennett well supported by David Hunt with 72no. South Waikato managed 170 all out in reply with Des Beckett scoring 48.

Zachary Hall was the pick of the Central bowlers with four wickets.

In other results from the weekend, Rotorua Lions defeated the Strikers XI on superior run rate after rain interrupted play at Neil Hunt Park.

Geyser continued their good form with both sides picking up wins.

Geyser WHHS Old Boys bowled Lake Taupō out for 95 with Joe O'Donoghue grabbing four wickets in the five-wicket win.

Geyser JPC Old Boys cruised to a 125-run win over Taupo Old Boys 1 with Amit Kumar scoring 61, Liam Kelly 48, and Manish Kumar picking up five wickets.

Bay of Plenty Indians won their match against Taupō Old Boys by default.
