A crash on Te Puke Highway south of the town has blocked one lane of the main highway.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Te Puke Highway and No 1 Rd, at 12.23pm where three cars had collided.

Highway patrol constable Brent Grey said a vehicle was turning right onto No 1 Rd and collided with two northbound vehicles.

No one was injured in the crash.

Injuries were unknown at this stage.

The sound bound lane was open.
