UPDATE:
A person injured in a single vehicle crash earlier today is in a stable condition at Rotorua Hospital.

A Rotorua Hospital duty manager confirmed the person was in the emergency department.

EARLIER:
Police are at the scene of a single vehicle crash on State Highway 38 near Kaingaroa Forest.

A police spokesman said the vehicle had driven off the road and into a bank about 2km from Murupara.

A police media spokeswoman said one person was taken to hospital via ambulance with minor injuries.
