Crash in Rotorua city centre

One block of Ranolf St is closed after a crash.

A motorist has hit a power pole outside Lighting Direct before hitting two other vehicles, including a trailer on a tourist bus, Rotorua police sergeant Harold Watson said. The vehicle also hit a gas mains "breather" pipe, a Fire Service spokesman said.

The crash has closed the part of the street between Eruera and Hinemoa Sts. Diversions are in place.

Officials are waiting for the all clear on the gas pipe damage.

Ngongotaha Fire Brigade are on the scene.

The man is reported to be uninjured.

Meanwhile, emergency services are reported to be at the scene of another crash at the intersection of Te Ngae Rd and Marguerita St.
