Check out a spot of action from yesterday's thrilling Slopestyle event at Crankworx on Mt Ngongotaha.

The feature event at Crankworx Rotorua is being staged today - the slopestyle.

The competition includes 18 international riders and has attracted a massive crowd again this year under the gondolas on Mt Ngongotaha. For more information on

5.10pm: Canadian star Brandon Semenuk has won the Rotorua Crankworx Slopestyle in front of a huge crowd on Mt Ngongotaha. His first run score of 94.33 was not bettered all afternoon. He even got to enjoy a victory lap, with his second run not mattering. Last year's champ Brett Rheeder (Canada) finished third while American Nicholi Rogatkin came second.

3 Brett Rheeder (Canada) score 92.00

4.45pm: We are about halfway through the second runs, and there has been some movement near the top of the standings. After a flat tire ruined his first run, Nicholi Rogatkin (US) has pulled together a great second run posting a score of 93.00 and moved into second. All the top riders from the first run are still to come.

4.10pm: Canada's Brandon Semenuk (world no.2) has soared to the top of the standings after the first round. The judges have given him a 94.33 for his unbelievable run. Last year he crashed out of contention at this event, so will be rapt with himself. Unfortunately, world no.3 Nicholi Rogatkin had his tire go flat on his run, and didn't make it to the finish.

3.50pm: We are starting to get into the top ranked riders, with the first 12 riders now completed their first runs. Torquato Testa still leads the standings while Louis Reboul had some bad fortune with his tire going flat.

1 Torquato Testa (Italy) score 81.66
2 Tomas Lemoine (France) score 80.00
3 Anthony Messere (Canada) score 74.66

3.30pm: First five riders have all finished their first runs, with a few small crashes early on. Top three at present listed below with scores:

3 Anton Thelander (Sweden) 35.33

3.10pm: We are not far away from starting. A huge crowd has gathered around the course and the atmosphere is pumping.

The format for the competition today will see each rider get two runs of the jump-laden course, with their best run counting.
The order for the first run is listed below, with the top ranked riders going last.
For the second run, the rider order will be rearranged.
