A display of the incredible talents of more than 300 young musicians is being performed in spectacular fashion tonight.
The students are from New Zealand and Australia and the show is a gala event where they showcase what they have learned during the Rhapsody Festival which has been taking place
in the city.
This festival is a series of adjudication sessions, workshops, clinics, as well as performances at local schools.
Last night the students performed in their individual school ensembles, but tonight they get to really mix it up.
"Both concerts display the students' talents however the unique feature of the festival and Friday night's concert, is students will be performing in combined ensembles that have been put together during the festival to make music and learn from each other. The Friday concert showcases how the students from different schools and backgrounds have come together to learn, make music and perform," said Rhapsody marketing manager Bernadine Juretich.
