Rotorua is set to light up in an array of magical Christmas lights as part of The Professionals Christmas Lights Trail.
It's been almost two decades since the company started running the lights trail, with more than two dozen houses already entered and just a few days left for thosestill wanting to enter.
The Professionals McDowell Real Estate sales manager Phil Hereford said the lights trail was a great chance to have some fun and spread a bit of Christmas joy.
"Do it for the children."
Mr Hereford said so far there were 24 houses taking part, spread throughout the city.
"It's right across from Owhata to Ngongotaha and all the suburbs in between."
People wanting to take part need to have entered by Tuesday. There is $3000 up for grabs across 12 prizes. Three of the $250 prizes are for first time entrants, while the other nine $250 prizes are for the best displays.
Prize money has been donated by sponsors including the Rotorua Daily Post. Judging would take place between December 10 and 14.
