For Kellie Hamlett, giving back as a business is all part of being a "good corporate citizen".

It's something she believes strongly in which is why her business, Talent ID, and the others at The Business Hub in Rotorua are again collecting for the Rotorua Daily Post Christmas Appeal to help fill the shelves of the Rotorua Salvation Army Foodbank.

Ms Hamlett said the group of businesses started taking part several years ago and said it was a great way for the businesses to do something together and help others.

"I just think it is something that for us as a business it is always important to do, giving back to the community in which we work."

She said Christmas was a time about families and sharing so the link was an "obvious" one.

"It's time to reflect on others out there not as fortunate."

They encouraged staff, clients and anyone else visiting The Business Hub in Hinemaru St to bring along items to donate.
