The Chiefs will host the Jaguares in Rotorua in the 2018 Investec Super Rugby season.

The team will host the Jaguares, Argentina's only Super Rugby team, at Rotorua International Stadium on Friday, May 4.

It will be the first time the two sides meet on Chiefs turf.

The squad will kick off their season in Christchurch against the 2017 Title winners the BNZ Crusaders, before facing the Blues in Auckland.

There will also be a preseason encounter with the Blues in Te Kuiti for the Farmlands Rural Legends Shield preseason match on February 2.
