Chemical incident in Tokoroa

There has been a chemical exposure incident in Tokoroa.

Police and fire crews are at the scene, including at least one hazmat appliance.

Tokoroa chief fire officer Dave Morris confirmed there had been an incident involving chemicals, though could not say where in Tokoroa it had happened or give any further details.

A police spokeswoman said there was no risk to the public and inquiries were ongoing.
