A car has crashed into a power pole on Te Ngae Rd, outside Rotorua Airport.

A police media spokeswoman said police were called about the crash at 5.48pm and were on their way.

Fire and ambulance crews were also called and are at the scene.

The crash has brought down some power lines but they have been disconnected.

The spokeswoman said there were no blockages on the road and she had no information about injuries to any occupants of the car.
