The Greenlea Rescue Helicopter has been kept busy with eight jobs in the first six days of March.
The month started with a callout to transfer a woman who had fallen from a motorbike, suffering multiple injuries. She was flown to Waikato Hospital.
On March 3 the Taupo-based chopper was
called out to three jobs. A man in his 40s was flown from Mt Ruapehu to Hamilton following a medical event while another fell on Mt Tongariro and was flown to Taupo Hospital.
The same day a man in Tokoroa fell from his motorbike and the helicopter was required to take him to Rotorua Hospital.
On March 4 the helicopter was again called to Mt Tongariro where a man had broken his ankle. He was flown to Rotorua Hospital.
