The Greenlea Rescue Helicopter has been kept busy with eight jobs in the first six days of March.

The month started with a callout to transfer a woman who had fallen from a motorbike, suffering multiple injuries. She was flown to Waikato Hospital.

On March 3 the Taupo-based chopper was called out to three jobs. A man in his 40s was flown from Mt Ruapehu to Hamilton following a medical event while another fell on Mt Tongariro and was flown to Taupo Hospital.

The same day a man in Tokoroa fell from his motorbike and the helicopter was required to take him to Rotorua Hospital.

On March 4 the helicopter was again called to Mt Tongariro where a man had broken his ankle. He was flown to Rotorua Hospital.

In between the annual LandSAR training on March 5, the helicopter flew a woman in her 20s to Rotorua Hospital after she had a severe reaction to a sting in the Kaimanawa ranges.

The same day the helicopter was one of four that attended a two-car crash on Desert Rd. The chopper flew a man to Waikato Hospital with multiple injuries.
