Briscoes Rotorua joins in Red Nose day (+video)

Red Nose Day was great fun at Briscoes Rotorua with all the staff getting involved.

The Briscoe Group as a whole managed to raise $14,000 for the campaign.

Briscoes Rotorua retail assistant Indy Sima said it had been a big team effort.

"We loved to give back to help the children. We get customers that come back year after year and donate as much as they can give. We have a regular customer base and they love to give."

Cure Kids CEO Frances Benge said the Briscoe Group had been a partner of Cure Kids since 2004.

"In that time they have raised more than $5 million for Cure Kids that has been used to help save, extend and improve the lives of thousands of Kiwi kids who live with serious health conditions.

"We are so proud to have Briscoe Group as a much treasured part of the Cure Kids family. Their contribution to child health in New Zealand is enormous, and we are constantly inspired by how the whole team get in behind Cure Kids and fundraise to help improve health outcomes for all children," she said.

Red Nose Day is Cure Kids annual national appeal. More than $1million was raised last year, and this year is set to become the biggest fundraising effort yet.

At Cure Kids, researchers are driven to find the cures for serious health conditions that affect many of New Zealand's children.

They focus on raising funds to enable high-impact medical research to find the cures our kids need. With the amazing support of New Zealand, Cure Kids have been funding ground-breaking research for the past 45 years.
