A winning First Division ticket has been sold in Tauranga, capping off a successful night for Bay of Plenty Lotto players.

Four players from Whangārei, Auckland and Tauranga each won $250,000 in last night’s live draw.

The winning Tauranga ticket was sold at Woolworths Fraser Cove.

Powerball was not struck and has rolled over to Saturday night, where the jackpot will be $33 million.

Meanwhile, winning Second Division tickets were sold in Rotorua, Kawerau and Tauranga, each winning $18,149.

The tickets were sold at Kawerau Food Market, Woolworths Fairy Springs in Rotorua and two via MyLotto in Tauranga.

Adding to the excitement, a player from Lower Hutt also scooped up Powerball Second Division, bringing their total winnings to $48,170.

Lotto NZ is reminding players to check their tickets via MyLotto, in-store, or through the app, and to get in early for future draws to avoid peak times.
