Four Auckland men have appeared in court relating to a serious assault early Thursday
morning on Fenton St in Rotorua.
Zak Huaki Kameta, 23, Chad Kameta, 22, Hawaiki Nga Puhi Rapata, 21, and Benjamin Gordon Whittaker, 22, appeared in the Rotorua District Court today via audiovisual link and entered no pleas to a range of charges.
Zak Kameta faces three charges including injuring two different men with reckless disregard and possession of a knife.
Chad Kameta and Rapata face two charges each of injuring two men with reckless disregard and Whittaker faces one charge of injuring a man with reckless disregard.
They were charged after police were called to Fenton St, between Victoria and Amohau Sts, about 3.15am to a report of an alleged group assault.
Judge Louis Bidois remanded them on bail to Auckland addresses to reappear in court on November 11 to enter pleas.
