Q: I have an issue I'd like to talk to one of our city councillors, or even the mayor, about. Am I able to make contact with them direct? If so, how do I contact them? How do I speak to a member of the regional council?

A: Rotorua
Mayor Kevin Winters and the city's 12 councillors are happy to talk to residents and see this as an important part of their job in representing the community.

The same goes for elected representatives on the Bay of Plenty Regional Council. Your elected representatives have a duty to their constituents and should respond to any reasonable request by a member of the community.

You can call the Rotorua District Council Customer Centre on (07) 348 4199 for email or telephone contacts.

Or, for a full list of contact details, visit the council's website, www. rdc.govt.nz, then go to the "Our Council'' tab.
