Two people have been taken to hospital following a brawl in Edgecumbe.

The fight, involving a group of people, broke out on College Rd about 12.50pm, a police spokeswoman said.

Weapons were used in the fight but these did not include firearms, she said.

Two people were taken to hospital with minor and moderate injuries.

No arrests were made and inquiries were ongoing, she said.
