Man charged with murder after Taupō homicide

Police investigating the death of Samantha Reid have charged a man in relation to her death.

Reid, 33, who is known as Sam, was found at a rural property north of Taupō on January 25 with critical injuries.

She was taken to hospital but died the following day.

A 35-year-old man has now been charged with murder, and is due to appear in Hamilton District Court tomorrow.

As the matter is now before the courts, police will not provide any further information.
