Man charged following aggravated robbery in Rotorua

A man has been charged following an aggravated robbery at a Westend Bar in Rotorua last week.

The 37-year-old has been charged with aggravated robbery and is scheduled to appear in Rotorua District Court today.

A police spokeswoman said police received a report of a robbery on Malfroy Rd at 1.50pm on Thursday.

She said an offender was reported to have allegedly presented a weapon but she would not say what it was.

No one was injured and a sum of money was taken.
