One person has been taken to hospital after a motorcycle and car have crashed at the intersection of Old Taupō Rd and Depot St.

Police were called just before 8pm.

A police spokeswoman said drivers in the area should expect delays.

A St John media spokeswoman said one person was taken to Rotorua Hospital with moderate injuries.
