Firefighters have helped free a woman stuck inside a parking building lift in Rotorua.

Rotorua senior station officer Paul Glanville said the woman told them she was trapped inside the lift for about 25 minutes.
"We were able to free her within five minutes of our arrival and the lift was working afterwards," Glanville said.
Despite the time, the woman was trapped she doing fine afterwards," he said.
Granville said the incident was reported to the council and the body corporate which manages the property.
