Motorbike rider in a serious condition following crash south of Reporoa

A motorbike rider is in a serious condition after a crash with a vehicle near Reporoa.

A police spokeswoman confirmed police were called to a crash at 9.30am on State Highway 5, 10km south of Reporoa.

She said the incident took place between Terror Rd and Grafton Rd on State Highway 5.

She could not confirm the condition of the rider but said he was being transported to hospital by ambulance.

St John spokeswoman confirmed one patient was sent to Rotorua Hospital at 9.53am in a serious condition.
