Death following serious Taupō crash

Police have confirmed one person has died following a serious crash in Taupō last month.

The single-vehicle crash happened on Acacia Heights Drive, Acacia Bay, about 6.10pm on Thursday December 27.

The driver was taken to Waikato Hospital in a critical condition.

He died on Sunday December 30.

The death has been referred to the Coroner.
