The council's Kaitiaki Ahurea Māori, Monty Morrison said the event aimed to support the district's commitment to the Rotorua reorua movement, which encourages everyone to begin or advance their te reo Māori journey.
"The expo is an opportunity for people to see what taonga (treasure), including Māori language resources, online reo programmes and weekly classes, are available to help them on their journey."
Event organiser Aneta Morgan said there was a wide variety of stall holders including the team from Pipi Mā and author Jenny Chapman.
"It's a chance to showcase the types of resources and te reo language programmes available to people.
"Not everyone has the opportunity to go to te reo classes in the evenings, but there are plenty of options available."
As well as the variety of stalls there will be a live performance from kohanga reo students, workshops and presentations.
"It's about letting the community know there are options available," Morgan said.
