A lucky player from Auckland took home $6.3 million with Powerball First Division from their ticket sold on MyLotto.

This was the second Powerball win on MyLotto in just over a week after a young man from Central Otago won $22.3 million last Wednesday.

It was the largest Powerball prize ever won in the South Island.

The winner, who bought his winning ticket on a whim through the Lotto NZ App, plans to use the money set himself up for the future.

Two other Lotto players from Whangamatā and Waipukurau will also be celebrating after each winning $333,333 in last night's live draw.

Their winning tickets were sold at Whanga Books and Paper Plus Waipukurau.

Meanwhile, Strike Four rolled over and will be $200,000 on Wednesday night.
