Eastern arterial closed after two-truck crash near Taupo

A crash involving two trucks has closed a section of the Eastern Taupo Arterial.

One person has a suspected broken bone and another has minor injuries.

A police spokeswoman said police were called to the crash at 2.17pm between Centennial Drive and the Wairakei roundabout.

The road is closed between these points and traffic management is in place.

A ambulance spokeswoman said two people have been taken to Rotorua Hospital by helicopter in a moderate condition.
