A spine-tingling, party pumping youth event is being held in Rotorua on Saturday night.

Pro Fresh is hosting a Halloween Haunted House night, featuring live hip-hop rapper, Dominick.

He has opened for Sean Kingston, Donell Lewis, Mikey Mayz, and the live act will definitely add to the quality of show and crowd interaction, said organiser, Jaymz MacKenzie-Hooper. Pro Fresh ran a non-alcoholic event for school students in Rotorua earlier this year and it was a huge success, he said.

"With just over 250 people coming out for our show, it set a solid foundation for the brand and event to grow in the region. We had positive feedback across all our social media platforms and decided to go ahead and run another event for Halloween.

"Youth have responded well to our events and there is a huge demand for the youth to have something safe and exciting to do. Pro Fresh are dedicated to filling this gap in the market giving back to the youth and ensuring everyone has an awesome night full of memories," he said.

As well as a live rapper, DJ Tone Def, DJ Sanka and DJ V.I.V. will bring high-level energy to the dance floor.

"With a massive lighting display and new 200-inch (5m) visual screen, we are bringing world class production to the youth of Rotorua, giving them a taste for music festivals and nightclubs in a safe, controlled environment."

Dressing up is optional for the Halloween-themed event. Prizes for best dressed on the night include a goodie bag from sponsors valued at more than $250, plus energy drinks and other giveaways.
