A tree is blocking a State Highway near Kawerau.
A police spokeswoman said one lane was blocked on State Highway 30 near Matahi Rd.
She said she didn't know what caused the tree to fall.
A resident currently stuck in traffic said there was a backlog from the Kawerau turn-off
