Investigations into fatal crash continue

The crash on Desert Rd.

The three people who died in a crash on the Desert Rd yesterday were two women and a man.

Investigations are continuing into the death of the three, with police hoping to be able to name them later today.

Senior Sergeant Fane Troy said two of the three were on work visas while one was on a student visa.

Another man remains in Waikato Hospital in a critical condition.

The car the four were in collided with a truck approaching a 65 km/h bend on State Highway 1 at Rangipo in the central plateau.

The truck driver was shaken but unharmed.
