Rotorua teenagers are being encouraged to take part in the Vegas Games as part of Youth Week.
The event has been organised by the Rotorua District Youth Council and the Ira Matatau Active Citizenship Programme.
The Vegas Games is at Western Heights High School on Sunday from 1pm to 4pm and offers a variety of sports for those aged between 13 and 18.
Sports on offer include touch rugby, dodgeball, soccer, basketball, volleyball, power pulling, an obstacle course and horizontal bungy.
Rotorua District Council youth projects officer Jill Campbell said cash prizes of $300 for first placegetters, $200 for second, $100 for third would be up for grabs, as well as and spot prizes and prizes for best dressed.
"Our youth council organised this social multisport tournament to celebrate Youth Week and to have activities of all kinds available for young local people. It's a fantastic day for teens to get active, have fun, and even be in to win some prizemoney."
Teams need to have between six and eight players and need to register by 5pm tomorrow. Each team must have two female players. Entry is $7 per team.
