Shaving all their hair is probably not on the bucket list of too many women.
But for long-haired truck driver Roslyn Didovich it's something she's always wanted to do.
So when Mrs Didovich's nephew Cory Josephs, then 4, was diagnosed with cancer just over a year ago she had the perfect reason to cross it off her list.
Mrs Didovich will have her long locks shaved at Adams Cave Hairdressers in Rotorua on March 9 as part of the Child Cancer Foundation's funrazor, which encourages people to "Shave your lid for a brave kid!" Her brave kid is Cory - who she watched fight and eventually beat the disease with the support of his family and the Rotorua community.
"I was standing in the back supporting the family but you can't seem to do enough. It's something extra I can do... giving back to the Child Cancer Foundation who helped them quite a lot," she said. She was also inspired by seeing sick children of all ages and ethnicities in Auckland's Starship Hospital.
