The former chief operating officer at Sky City has been convicted of refusing to give a blood sample to police in Taupo.
Stuart Damien Wing was convicted and fined $700 after pleading guilty to the charge at Manukau District Court last Friday.
The charge related to an incident in Taupo on March 30.
SkyCity had previously confirmed Wing had resigned and was returning to Australia for "personal reasons".
General manager of group services Grainne Troute said this afternoon the company was not prepared to discuss any individual employee's specific circumstance.
