Police have arrested a man after a firearms incident in Tokoroa last week.

Police were called to an address on Baberton St around 11.15pm on February 17, and found a seriously injured man.

The man was taken to Waikato Hospital.

He has since been released.

A 25-year-old man has been arrested and is expected to appear in Rotorua District Court tomorrow, facing charges of unlawful possession of a firearm and wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
