She said she would do it again if she had to prove to the Guinness people she could do it.
So far she has raised $1500 that will go toward building toilets, a well, fencing, chairs and tables for classrooms and establishing a library.
Ms Ndlovu grew up in a small village where carrying water was an everyday task.
"Crossing paths with venomous snakes fetching water was my reality for 25 years in Zimbabwe where I was born and raised," she said on her Givealittle fundraising page.
"I started carrying 20 litres of water on my head when I was only 10 years old."
But, she said the walk was quite challenging since she had been in New Zealand for 14 years and was a bit out of practise - even at home she had never carried 20l of water that far.
